A Case of Lac Caninum

Male patient aged 23 years came with c/o dust allergy, sneezing, oral ulcers, and acne. The case Has been Edited For brevity.

D: Tell me about your complaints?

P:  Dust -allergy, Sneezing, oral ulcers, acne, Discoloration under eyes < During exams, Burning  urination, Sweet especially over buttocks and inguinal region.

D: which is most bothering complaint out of these?

P: Acne. The scare of the acne remain. Then the ulcers. Haven’t used ‘Non-mark’ cream due to the side effects. Cant work due to sweet in the inguinal region.

D: Tell me about Ance?

P:Black heads on the face look bad. I compare my skin with my friends’ skin. They have good skin but I don’t have. It is uncomfortable.

D:  Tell me about ‘uncomfortable’?

P: friends identify the spots. With friends one talks freely but due to this problem  I avoid talking to them. I avoid going out with them.

( He compares his skin with that of his friends’ , his skin is not good in comparison to their and so be he avoids going out with them. This avoidance is sychotic  aspect. We have to know what he avoids which will give us the sensation.

D: Tell me about I avoid going out with friends ?

P: As compare to them I am a loser. All have good skin but I don’t. They are better than me.

D: Describe this a bit more?

P: our group boys as well as girls. Once when we are going out, a girl from my group did not ride pillion with me. I felt that the other friend is better than me so she sat behind him. I m a loser, everyone is competitive in this world.

D:Tell me more about the loser feeling?

P: Anyone can feel that he should get good marks than others.

( This is how he perceives his world that every one is competitive in this world where some one is wins and some one loses.)

D: What dream do you get?

P: Of Routine activities.

D: what is your aim in life?

P: To satisfy my parents. Good behavior in the community.

Fact- < dust, black heads. Discoloration below eyes < during exam.

Emotion- Doesn’t look good, feels uncomfortable in friend circle, Avoids their company

Delusion:-  Other are better than me I am a loser.

Sensation:- There is competition in the world. Someone wins & someone loses. Me versus the other. Here me versus the friends.

The way he perceives the reality is that there is competition. Someone is better than you, winning and losing, ‘me’ versus my friends, I am a loser you are a winer

Which animal? If one had to think scientifically we need to find the subkingdom.

He avoid going out with friends be cause to be with friends means you are a loser ( for him).

Also it is important for him to behave good in the community, in fact that is his aim

Feeling left out of group is an important feature of the mammals.

After 2 month in general feeling better. Mentally feels good. Confidence improved. Feeling of rejection has reduced. Now I communicated well with friends.

D: How is the comparison feeling?

P: Not faced a situation where I will have to compare. All the physical problems have reduced to 80%.

After 4 month- Feeling Constipated since 3 days. Mentally feels good. Confidence improved. Repeated Lac can 200 single dose.

After 5 month from the treatment reported by mother. Much better. Ance reduced almost gone. Confidence improved. Taking up advance course in the field of engineering. Has mild constipation since 3 days. Repeated Lac can 1M/ 1dose. In all he has received 4 dose of the remedy.

A Case Of Macular Degeneration

Mr P V V aged 45 years came to  in 2003 with presenting complaints of:

1)      Dimness Of vision due to tiny bilateral partial thickness macular holes caused due to exposure to UV rays in the past. this was accidentally detected in November 2005.

2)      Right inguinal hernia since 20 years, occasional pain and now a days doesn’t reduce quickly

3)      Pain in chest whenever he is tensed, associated with tingling in left arm and occipital region .ten year ago (in 1993 ) while he was a resident of latur, the city had experienced earthquake. Thereafter, he becomes anxious, his sleep became light, he used to wake up at slightest noise and carry his small child out of the house.

4)      Fear of earthquake++. Fear of looking down from high places or peeping into well++. Fear of accident++

Past  History : He had arthritis from 1978 to 1986. Had swelling of left knee with fluid in synovial space which was aspirated and was treated with Wysolone and Brufen whenever necessary . He avoided the steroid preparation as much as possible and instead took more Brufen with which he used to get gastritis. He hasa tendency to get looses stools on change of water or change in diet, relived by coffee or lemon juice.

In 1983-84 when he was in Nasik . he had to work in A/C Room. He had pain in right hip join more than left, radiating down to the legs. It stopped when he stopped work in A/C.

In 2002 his father expired of cancer. He had UTI for 8 days after this for which he took allopathic medicines for few days. Pus cells were about 100/ hpf. Had burning during and after urination. He continued homoeopathy there was return of his old joint pains which lasted for 3 month but continued homoeopathy for 6 month and it was less. At present no pains. Then he as  taking treatment from the same doctor for his GIT complains of flatulence and unsatisfactory stools which is better by 75%.

Developed fissure 1 & ½ years back as he neglected himself for last 8 years. Used to bleed on and off with server pains<spicy food. He controlled his complaint by taking lot of green vegetables and stopped eating meat. H/o itching in inguinal region 15-20 years ago>  with local application. H/o boils.

Family History: Mother is 65-years-old, has arthritis. Father died of cancer of gall bladder at 75 year, 3 years ago. MGM/F died of old age. PGM died of heart attack at 60 years of his age. PGF died of old age, had hernia on both sides. Wife and children healthy.

Observation - Multiple moles on cheek, armpit and lumbar region.

Personal history: - since 3 years stopped non veg due to fissure problem. Likes fresh food. Tea used to take 10-15 cups for 20 years. But since 3 years 3-4 cups daily. Cravings-sour++.  Spicy+ used to like Non-Veg due to spices but now avoids. Peanuts+ but it aggravates+.

Sleep - 4-5 hours of sound sleep.

Mental- doesn’t like people who come to  his house for his office work. He works in BSNL – says no to them. Anger on contradiction. Sensitive.

Likes to be busy with work, doesn’t take leave. Anxiety about health++.

Treatment- Nux vom 200/1 dose.  Ginkobiloba Q 2 drops twice a day, wheat germ juice along with cap Macugold once a day was continued.

17/2/06- C/o mucus in stool after eating street food. Sensation of drawing in left eye and difficulty in looking at distant objects. RX-Nux vom 1M/ 1 dose.

3/4/06- Stools-N. C/o fissure few days Ago. Slight reduction of vision in left eye. RX-Thuja 30/3 does.

28/4/06- Better. Rx-SL Bd.

29/7/06- Toothache, swollen Gums. Advised calendula Q gargles.

7/10/06- Fissure>>. Flatulence+ < 6-7 Pm. Now pain from left wrist has shifted to right wrist. Acidity increased. Toothache reduced. Difficulty in looking at distant object ameliorated. Pain in eyes+. Rx-Lycopodium 30, 200, 1M/ 1 dose each/ hourly.

6/11/06- All above complaints Reduced. Rx-Sl bd.

6/12/06- small boil under lower left incisor. Rx- Silicea 6c/ 6 dose.

25/12/06- Boil had reduced but appeared again. Rx- silicea 12c/ 6 does. Was advised root canal treatment. He was better till july 2007 when Lycopodium 1M/ 1 dose was repeated for his gastric complaints.

21/8/07- Had sleep problems and slight difficulty in breathing. No abdominal complaints. Rx-Carcinosin 30/ 1 dose.

21/11/2007- Lycopodium 1M repeated for his relapse of gastric problem. Anxiexty 80% less.  He continues to improve on his vision. He still takes medicines for his minor complaints.
